About Dream Tables / Available
|
I create a world on a table with its own laws of perspective, rules of light and color, relationships between objects. The imaginary inhabitants of this quiet, contained space are revealed only by what they leave behind for us to find: the remains of daily life, but also an ambiguous collection of tarot cards, open books and half-hidden messages. The objects on the table are from my Vermont studio, but the compositions exist only in my imagination, where I always seem to be traveling to another place. Stamps and letters, images of faraway landscapes and mementoes from distant lands transform the confined space of the tabletop to a tableau of memories and dreams.
